Imperator type carrot. This long, slender variety is well known for its sweet flavour and tender texture. The 24cm (9") roots are rich, dark orange, with very high beta-carotene content. The roots are incredibly straight and uniform. Plants have strong tops for bunching. For the best roots, grow in soil that has been deeply dug and broken up. Raised beds work well for long-rooted carrots like Sugarsnax.
